DEM-PRECON - VIRTUALIZED CANNED FOOD MANUFACTURING PROCESS DEMONSTRATOR USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND OTHER DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES.
DEM-PRECON is based on the development, promotion and adoption of digital technologies that enable the stimulation of demand, through the development and validation of a demonstrator that allows to analyze the viability of the same in real environments. In this case, the demonstrator will focus on the food industry that applies thermal treatments on packaged food (canning industry) to make it more productive and incorporating the concept of food safety culture.
The DEM-PRECON project is aligned with the Strategic Action on Digital Economy and Society of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Policy and Innovation for the period 2017-2020, for the development, promotion and adoption of digital technologies enabling the transformation of the economy and society towards a digital environment.
The overall objective of the project lies in the development and validation of a demonstrator based on the virtualization of a canned food processing line through the application of new innovative technologies where, depending on the raw material, the system predicts responses or behaviors of the raw material and, at the same time, real-time information on the status of the different operations of the process.

Innovative solution that automatically optimizes and controls cooking and sterilization conditions, adjusting process times and temperature levels to the characteristics of each batch to be processed.
MUSSELPRO does this through the use of a state-of-the-art cooker and autoclave supported by hyperspectral technology and intelligent algorithms.
